I know they are supposed to be good for our plants eating bugs, etc but they keep burrowing in where my plants are and they end up dieing!! I scott it out but it shows back up--or his cousin or whoever....I hate to kill them but this is costing me money.

Take an old clay pot & bury it so that there is at least half of it sticking out & a small opening for them to get into...then you have created a "toad house"! http://homeandgardencafe.com/m...rom-an-old-clay-pot/ You can do the same thing without breaking one..just bury it on it's side with most of the bottom of the pot out of the ground and a space big enough for a large toad to get in it at the top of the pot. ga.karen, the toad house really works? I've seen them in catalogs but thought they were just a decoration, not useful. The link showing how to make one is great, maybe I can try to make one.....sure hope it will work. Thanks so much, AGAIN, for your input and help.

Yes, they work. They like some place dark & damp. "The soil is the source of life, creativity, culture and real independence." David Ben-Gurion

This is just weird. Are you sure it's toads? I have never had toads do that to plants. Do you have chipmunks? They are what dig and damage my plants. ve
