Don't throw away those cut Christmas trees yet, stick them in the yard soil or snow and hang your bird feeder on them. You can also 'paint' peanut butter on the branches and sprinkle with bird seed for our friendly critters that stay around. You can also cut up your tree and compost it.
You can also throw it into a friend's (or your own) pond to create a habitat for fish to hide in....and for your fishing line to get caught in!
"The soil is the source of life, creativity, culture and real independence." David Ben-Gurion
What neat ideas. We don't do real trees anymore.
Neighbor ties to post near bird feeder for protection from predator birds.
We only use what grows in the yard and that we shred for landscape mulch. Christmas trees and any pine are great.
