I didn't do an outdoor tree this year but here's my tree in a wheelbarrow from a few years ago. DH just cut a small tree from our property and put it in my 'lovely' rustic old wheelbarrow.

Not putting up a tree again this year. No decorations either. No point, we don't have christmas at my house anymore, can barely get everyone together. I love the poinsetta tree.

Me too Thumbie. DH's family all do stuff with their own kids but not ALL together. Since mine are in Japan...no need to decorate.
Besides, we have to put up with the neighbor's pathetic mess of lights they have over there. No planning, just stuck all over and some sorta hanging in/out of the trees. This message has been edited. Last edited by: ga.karen,

No, it is just so much bother. DH doesn't help so I have to did the stuff out, put it out, and put it away. My age has told me enough is enough. I like not having to do it.I might put out my blow-up penguins, but not until after our high winds calm.

this is the 'family tree'....Hallmark's Rodney Reindeers for every member of my gang...they keep growing in number and I have to keep going to Ebay to find and buy more!!!.... hope they never run out!!... but I think it's time for a bigger tree....??.... only put up another table tree this year... no gathering here, so it's just for the ambiance..

There was just no time this year plus none of the kids would be around this year...saw them all at Thanksgiving. But I am enjoying your trees!
I have a small collection of those reindeer Toots!
I came across this cage at a sidewalk sale - had DH build the base and added a bit of red to match what was on the cage. So I did pile a few holiday things on top of it.
Summers are just this side of hell, but you don't have to shovel sunshine...
I remember that someone from here sent me a Rodney Reindeer little 'girl' when I needed one after my last grand daughter was born... sadly, I've lost track of who it was... so I'll say thanks and hope she sees it!!....
that cage is unusual, KG!!... but I love what you've done on top!! if you ever tire of your reindeers, let me know!!!....

KG, I LOVE your chicken coop. Looks like one of the coops used to transport chickens. Nowadays, they use metal ones mostly. Whatever, it is wonderful!!!! Love your birdhouses, too.
Toots, I like your Rodney tree. We have a small Rodney, but it's staying here. DH & I play pranks on each other with him. We find him under pillows, in shoes, pockets...stuff like that.

And how many of your ornaments did you make silly bird? Your tree is lovely...as are all the rest.
The only things "holiday" here is the beautiful beaded ornament a sweetheart gave me, displayed on my coffee table...and the cards I've recieved on my little drop leaf table where our phones sit. Unless you want to call all the goodies on the dining room table "holiday fare" too! I baked a bunch of stuff & made some candies. Shipped 2 big boxes to my son & family in Japan.

HGTV Mallory I love that poinsettia tree. We saw some like that in Salt Lake city one yr. Joyluck your tree is sweet! Toots your tree is neat. I've got a family of 4 that a DF gave me (she has passed) so the are very dear to me. KGinCA your arrangment is very pretty! muddy the top of your hutch is pretty and Rascal looks about as happy as Birdie in some of her pics!! Aren't you done yet?? He is just soooo adorable! This is the first year we won't have a tree. I love all your trees. Had a trusty old 3-foot tabletop one that I would leave decorated and covered on a basement shelf, ready to set out each year. It fell apart on the shelf sometime since I put it away last year. The plastic brackets just crumbled and let go of the branches. Seems symbolic, since this is the first year I have little hope in the future, for reasons I won't elaborate.
This is what it used to look like, decorated with mostly handmade, sentimental ornaments given to me and that I made myself.
There is no way I can remember all the decorations and trees unless I write them down post by post............SO, I'll just say that I have enjoyed looking at each and everyone of the pictures. Some mighty talented folks on this board and such unique decorating styles. I loved all of them!

I thought maybe you made a bunch of your ornaments. Yes, I will keep my beaded ornament up all year. I enjoy looking at it every day! It is beautiful! And besides, I gave an arm/leg for that holder tall enough to display it! It's going to stay out!

OKaren it seems like every time I'd get a few of the beaded ones done someone wanted to buy them!! I've given several away too. Next yr. I'll be able to get out the beading stuff. Not this yr with the house on the market. Its off now thank goodness.
