Finally. I've had the feeders out for 2 weeks and today this male Ruby Throated Hummer came for a drink.

Great shots of that hummer. I love the birds, but as yet I haven't seen my first one yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks. I was in the livingroom shooting through the balcony door with a 300mm lens.

Yey Rick! Ours have been here for a few weeks but I haven't seen much of them. They must be at the neighbors. I see your enjoying your new toy, and really getting some nice shots.

EekWhat are your temps now? ~ I can hardly believe they are up in Canada already! I had a cowbird (mom) feeding her young one at my feeder today.

How far north in Ontario are you? My DH saw one last week here and we are north of 50˚ in western Canada. This afternoon I didn't actually see it but heard it buzz us as we sat on the patio. I don't have a hummer feeder so not sure what it's eating or why it's staying around. We do feed sunflower seeds to all the other birds, maybe he eats those? Later we have them here often when the flowers are in bloom. He obviously had his little snowsuit on as we had a quick snowfall the other day. Big Grin

Enjoyed the pics, thanks for posting!
