I got one from a guy my husband worked with years ago...we sat in the yard and just watched amazed as there were several beds of these, and every few seconds another one popped open..mine did not do well and we have since moved but I would love love love some...any ideas???

I bought one last year at Home Depo.Then I gave it to my Mom.Beautiful and smelled wonderful.Dad planted it in a cement pot,it did good but ended up not making it this year.I told him the cement pot would be bad for it.Cement pot kept it too dry.I've been looking this year and havent found any yet.

Parents,they dont listen to their kids.LOL

I agree that it sounds like evening primrose...but could it have been a 4 o'clock? My yellow ones didn't open til just at dark & bloomed all night too....and they smell good too!

long time ago, we saw this in action.. guy had them planted on his hillside, below the back porch... they opened in a wave almost, from the first shade that hit them as the sun went down... very wild!!!....
