has scared the little children, don't throw it out....just chop it up into pieces and lay on your garden. Over winter, the vegetable will break down and in the spring the worms will have their way.
Or---throw on top of your still percolating compost pile.

No! The seeds will not end up growing another pumpkin; we have Charlie Brown's word on it.
