| Much too hot for me, but then I don't love summer as much as I love fall. |

| Good Grief, that's hot. Since the veggies are already cooked, at least you don't have to heat up the house by turning on the stove I feel for you suffering with heat like that. I am NOT a winter person. I hate cold! That being said, after the summer we have had, fall is looking very refreshing. Love the colors of fall too, they are my favorites. It seems the older I get, the harder & hotter the summers get. Not sure if it's weather related or age related. We have settled down into a pretty much normal pattern now. We've had 2.8 inches of rainfall within the last week and the temperatures have moderated back into the "normal" range. ve |

| Whew, that's hot! We were just treated to some nice rain last night and today. Everything looks so lush out there being all wet.
That's a good idea about the sail shade. |

| Yesterday it was 106 here too. The temps broke a record for a previous high. Both of our areas are will be well into the hundreds the rest of week. They have issued an excessive heat warning for our areas for Wednesday through Friday evening because monsoonal moisture is entering both our areas and the nights won't cool off in addition to the extreme day time highs. Our plants are going to be steamed cooked. Ugh, who ordered the heat? Also the cold water temperature has been 74 degrees all summer. The water is never that warm. How warm is your cold water?
KG do your nighttime lows normally go down to the low 60's like my area does? The lows here are going to be in the 70's. Nighttime low that high don't happen here normally. |

| You do have my sympathies, but like you said ~ You don't have to shovel sunshine........ As much as I really dislike the heat, I hate 15" of snow much more (and let's not even talk about the slippery ice!) Wanna switch ~ I'll just park myself right next to A/C like I'm doing right now....

| The sun was so punishing this summer all over the country. Even a few more cloudy days would have been a great help. Today I notice some young lady in red seedlings wanted to shrivel in the heat. I ran out with my watering can & then shaded them for the rest of the day & hope they stand back up as I was hoping for fall blooms from them!
