Ditto all the requests to keep posting. That bougie is beautiful. I didn't know SP vines bloomed, yet you said no blooms. Do you know something I don't? Eek

Lovely plants Sorie. Thank You.

Great pics!
Why don't you post the one of the SAC that you took back to Co. from my house this spring...show them how quick that thing grew!

VE, yes some of the SP vines get blooms...the one Sorie posted should/could/might. They don't last long and are usually hidden down in the foliage. I have some of the same variety of vine she has & mine has had a few blooms...until I moved it...it was in a hanging pot.
I'll see if I can get Phinny from the NY board to post her pic over here, ok?

Sorie, speaking of sssshhhh....I'm seeing signs...of an early fall! The acorns are falling, saw some today on the ground!

I've had SP vines bloom, to my surprise, too. They remind me of petunia flowers of a light purple color. None this year though, yet.

Beautiful Blooms Sorie!

The bougainvillea looks well-behaved. Do you trim it to keep it under control? Love all the colors and the boot planter too.

Is that your garden helper playing shy to the camera? Great pics!

Sorie, love the pix....please share as many as you want!!
How did you get the bougie to flower so well and get that big? i bought a red one from Wal-mart two years ago and I know they are annuals here but still---it didn't get as big as yours. Maybe here on the SE hot farms it was just too much heat and wind...sigh....LOVE your Bean Vine. I have had the black beauty sweet potato vine give me the prettiest deep pink blooms but I didn't get the vine this year.
Thanks for posting, glad too 'talk/see' you again. I haven't been in here much. It is so hot and dry down here that I rarely get back in the house till dark then it is catch up games!
I am playing hooky from outside for an hour, need to get out there though cuze it is cool right now! ;o)

Love that Bougie...the color is gorgeous! You have so many things blooming right now...my plants are loving all the rain but the blooming is on hold with this heat.

Thanks everyone.
SSTR-that black and white is my everyday garden helper she's a Border Collie and name is Birdie!!
16paws-I was really surprised how fast it grew!
ga Karen - done
Beau's Rose I don't trim it. I cut it back real hard in the fall when it stops blooming about to 12-18" and put it in the basement. I do give it a drink in the winter when I think of it. In the spring I cut back the long stems that are real pale give it a drink and put it by a east sliding door. When it starts growing good I fertlize it with 20-20-20. I haven't fertlized it agian.
ladeuce- good to see you on again. Hope you are getting some cooler weather. I think I answered your ? in post above.
zonelady- this is about all I have blooming now. The hibiscus are just starting. They are only 1yr old so not to many flowers!

Bougainvillea sits on the front porch that faces south. It does get some morning shade. But seems to love the hot sun!

Very pretty - TFS!

I'm amazed that you grow bougainvillea and petunias from seed outdoors. I thought Colorado was cold after seeing your winter pics. What zone are you?
