Hi Guys,

A shed can be used to store anything used for working outdoors, such as paint, spare wood and lawn implements. To make sure they are secured within the shed, you'll need a sturdy door with a lock. If your shed door is broken, take steps to replace it as soon as possible. Installing a replacement shed door is fairly easy for do-it-yourselfers. Remove the old door by unscrewing the hinges from the shed structure, using a screwdriver. Take off any latches that may be attached to the shed. Measure the dimensions of the door with a tape measure. Write these measurements down with a pencil.

yer jest nun two brite are ya??... LOL!!!... I don't need to do that.... I just hook the dog's chain up to the hole where the door fell off of and nobody's gonna fool around with any of the stuff in there, and the dog will have a nice dry spot to hang out, too......

How do I know if my shed door needs to be replaced? I can't find a shed in my yard. Where should I look for it? Does the door go on the bottom, top or the side of the shed?


Also should I put a new door on my trees after they shed all their leaves?

I've been wondering what I might do with all the dog hair that my dogs shed. I had never thought that one could maybe weave it into something to contain paint, spare wood and lawn implements. I just know that screws would not hold the doors into the shed hair...but maybe Dabney can help me figure something out.

Curious? Never have heard the name Dabney before...is that a nick name or just a misspelling?

I think that "friendly real estate investor" with the island for sale, on Divine design board might be in need a shed and doors for it. Hope he sees this.

Me thinks Dabney has several names here at HGTV and DIY.

this is in response to conrad's question about the name 'Dabney'. my favorite nursery that is on the stateline between Tennessee and Mississippi is called 'Dabney's Nursery'. i doubt the two are related, cause the Dabney at the nursery is constantly busy and doesn't have the time to post on here.

stilltryin...maybe your shed landed at my place. I've had a hard time keeping my DH from building more of them! We have 4 now plus a warehouse, plus a shop, plus a covered work area. Did I say my DH is NOT organized??? He drives me nuts.
And I have threatened if one more "structure" shows up....he goes!!!!!!!!!!! (kidding)
