Is it OK to cut back LIatris spicata?
I planted a bunch of these at the park near my house last fall (along with butterfly weed). They looked amazing amonth ago or so but now are all bloomed out and laying over.

Should I leave them alone for the insects? Or can I cut them back to tidy things up?

As long as they're laying over, cut the stem off. Leave the leaves for food as usual. Smile

Thank you. They looked beautiful planted with the orange butterfly weed but now they're laying over almost into the street.

I'll trim them back this week sometime.
