I kept refusing to just toss it, knowing that there HAD to be SOMETHING I could do with it... (it was a curb aquisition to start with!).... so, since we're trying to pare down the 'stuff' so we can build the new barn/shed, DH said I could keep it IF he could change it a little... so I had to say ok......... here's what he did!!...gonna have to cook that man a steak tonight!!!.. *smile*............
Hey, he's a handy guy to have around. I love what you did with that. I was too tired this year to "scavange" when we had our curbside pickup this past Sat. I love seeing yard art ideas.
Now tell him to get his "brains working" on what he/you can use the rest of the coatrack for. LOL! Hanging a collection of small birdhouses on;like an outdoor birdhouse mobile? Or a small flagpole for 4th. of July.
he saved the main length of pole and some turnings on one end... he said something about splitting it for decorations on the door..??... we'll see... it's on the saw as we speak!....
Now that is a great "repurpose". I have one of those old floor lamps without any of the electrical components and am trying to figure out how to make and attach an arm for it to hold a hanging candolier. Any ponderings would be welcome.
