Don't know how many people on here are from CA but the above link is to the Mendocino Botanical Gardens at Fort Bragg-very pretty.

I'm trying to remember if that's where DH and I went in 1996 when we were in Ft. Bragg. We were there earlier in the summer season, so all the flowers weren't in full bloom like here. There was also a viewing shelter set into the side of a cliff so that you could watch the ocean and be protected from the elements. Was a fascinating place to watch the ocean, if this is the same place.

What a beautiful video. Thanks for posting this.

Ft. Bragg is about a 4 hour drive North of San Fran. Longer if you drive the coast route, but it's a bit curvy for some. The coastal views are incredible, and once you arrive, there's good food and wine, and lots of outdoor activies: whalewatching, birding and more.

With the thread title, I thought you were talking about Ft. Bragg, N.C....an army installation.
