It's pretty, but it's spreading EVERYwhere! I really hope it wasn't something I planted in the first few years when I didn't know better!! Some kind of mint? Catnip, catmint (it doesn't look like my other catmint)? It started out looking like a groundcover (now is growing upward, kind of in spires) and has purple flowers. I can take closer photos if anyone would like to see more details. Thanks!!!

It is Creeping Charlie and is very invasive.

Yes, many of us know this invasive weed as Creeping Charlie (although that name is also given to a few other plants too.) The scientific name is Glechoma hederacea.
Ground Ivy

It's also known as ground ivy, gill-over-the-ground, and haymaids among others. It's not an easy one to fight either. You probably did not plant it but it was probably spread by birds or crept in from somewhere else.

I have that in one of my pachysandra beds. grrr! I have spent countless time pulling it every year.

Creeping Charlie! Thank you so much. At least now I know what it is (and know I didn't plant it). It's in my neighbor's yard too, so I was worried that I had introduced it.
