Happy with any rain ~~~ sick of standing with the hose! Think they said it was 98 today?! Only critters in the yard seem to be Japanese Beetles!

lansing set a new high temp yesterday. it got up to 103 degrees. but, it's supposed to be cooler starting today.I hope so, can't take the high temps much longer. I have 21 new plants to get in the ground. they can't wait much longer for me.

I'm glad you're getting some relief SillyBird! The weather this spring and summer has been just awful. We haven't had ANY rain since the beginning of April, and the temperatures have been running over 100 degrees for days and days. Supposed to get up to 106 today. Needless to say, everything around here is nothing but a crisp. Trees dying all over town, and farmers crops gone. It's a sad situation.

I'm so happy for you though...enjoy!

Glad your getting rain!

We have caught some short showers but not enough to be a big help.
VE, I thought your area got a storm the other day???

Glad that you have rain--we were almost 100 today and the rain seems to have gone south--literally, the promised showers have disappeared!

Silly Bird/Sorie, so glad for you up there...we FINALLY got a reprieve too from 100 plus temps for two weeks/winds too of course---had two days of 113 and 114!! Yikes
No rain to speak of, got a few sprinkles that made some puddles on the blacktop but there was never even tacky on the dirt road...sigh...we ARE having 67 temp and it isn't even 8 p.m. yet here!!!! YEA!
Hopefully rains will come to many of our homes/farms/towns/states very soon......

Wheee
We finally got rain here in Nashville. Sunday morning a light shower was enough to fill my rain barrels and refresh everything.
Sunday afternoon we got a gully-washer: hard and heavy rain which mostly just ran off.
Sunday night another short shower.
It broke our heat wave and we will be back to normal which means 90s(it IS July)
WooHoooooooooooooooooo
