This year for some reason I have no flowers on my Endless Summer Hydrangeas Confused . The last two years they were beautiful. Was it too hot, dry for them? Any help appreciated. I did not cut them back in the fall.
Thanks Razz

Did you have a late frost or freeze. That can sometimes destroy the bloom buds too.

Mgt, I went to that website and looked at the pics. My endless summer bloomed but the blossoms are half the size of those on the website. On the other hand, I bought a $15 potted hydrangea about 5 years ago in the spring, plunked it in the ground and it has enormous blossoms. I think that ES are overrated.

If you trimmed your hydrangea down in the fall or spring, you won't have blooms in the summer.

No I don't think so - it was a pretty mild winter and spring this year in the north east.

We had an extremely warm April--some days in the 80's and then some very cold days in May. The upper branches of my ES had buds and those didn't bloom but the lower ones are fine--but I still stand by my comments that the ES blooms are much smaller than those on my cheap hydrangea.
