Happy Monday all you green thumbs. We've got salsa on the brain at HGTV Gardens, which made me curious...

Question:
Have you done any canning this year to preserve your harvest?

Choices:
Yes!
Not yet, but I plan to.
I won't be canning this year

Uh, Mallory, it's December........our gardens have been killed off by frost...Atlanta is not that far away from where I live.......so how are you making Salsa? You must be buying the produce to make it. Do you ever make it during the canning season?

Sorry vera! I was a little unclear in my post. Our salsa-brains are on because we're cracking open the jars of the stuff we made before the season ended. I suppose I should have asked if anyone had canned at the end of season. I'll work on my clarity! Thanks Smile

LOL - that is funny.......we both are a bit loose one the clarity thing! Enjoy your salsa...We are enjoying the pantry of canned goods ourselves, plus the freezer produce. Sure saves on the grocery bill.

I made pickled hot peppers, pickled dilly green tomatoes and green tomato pickles. kind of sweet and sour. DH has gone thru most of it already as I had a small garden this year
