A few months ago Jeanne did this mock-up for me with this fountain I wanted to buy. Well, I'm finding out that this exact fountain is no longer available so I started looking at new ones.

I loved this mock-up, however I realized that I can't block-off behind the steps b/c that's my only access to the water and the other area behind the deck.

    Here's the mock-up.

Here's the one I did with another fountain. I can possible put a piece of lattice under the steps part so that won't be seen but I have to leave the other part open.

Does this fountain look as good as the first one or should I just keep looking?

I forgot to post the one with the made-up lattice under the steps.

I like the fountain. It matches the rocks in the background.

It's only forever. Not long at all.

I really like the black/white contrast of the first fountain - what a beautiful porch/deck area you have!

As beautifully stunning as the orb style of fountain is, the water reservoir looks very, very small which means you'll need to add water every day due to splash and evaporation. I'm just asking you whether you're than devoted to this area.

Are you saying that about the first one (black)? That was my original pick but it's not available any more, at least around here anyway.

THanks for the compliment on the deck.

I love the look of the black one.

The other one is ok, but the black one just fits that spot nicely

I also like the black one with the lattice behind it.

Thanks. I hink I'm going to have to keep looking for another black one. I think it stands out much better too.

Saw the black fountain at Home Depot this past summer...loved it. Maybe it'll be back this summer. Like the black better, also think it shows up better for your planting area.

Big Grin I would most definitely put white lattice along the back..it will make whatever you put there pop and you'll have something to grow up it too...that is why I put Clematis on the lattice..tee hee..naughty naughty Jeanne...I like a darker fountain as well... something too beige or neutral will be lost visually...you want something that will POP!!...Jeanne
