I was reading the "free offerings" on Craigslist and Freecycle (cause I wanted to list some stuff). It's so funny to see what's offered: i.e. various shrubs, flowers, just come and dig them out. Day Lilies are offered, of course you have to come and dig them out! (ASAP! LOL!! ) I wonder if they got people to come and dig them out. One person said he wanted some plant dug out and if you help him dig out two he'll give you one!! (forgot what it was, some type of ornamental grass I think) Also, someone had pieces of concrete to 'donate'. Of course, you had to come and pick, it up. I noticed this same ad a couple of weeks earlier. Guess he had no takes on the ugly pieces of chopped up concrete sitting on his property. So.... if you have Freecycle where you live you can do the same (just don't let strangers in to 'dig' if you live alone!!!) (My Freecycle is very active - they responded so fast!)
I go to craigslist to 'browse' now & then, but not Freecycle. I went there once & set up my 'account' & then when I tried to get back in, I had to jump through so many hoops, I never did get back in...I gave up.

I do not think I would let a stranger dig up plants in my garden. I would be afraid they would cause damage. I would rather dig them myself. I guess if you were there watching them it might be alright. JMHO

I signed up for several free cycles around here, all small towns...but they weren't so much people giving things away as most of the posters were wanting things...like new drapes, new sheets, washer/dryers...or they were trying to get rid of pets. I deleted all my accounts!
Around here, we have to drive quite a ways for anything on Craig's list. DH reads thru it every now/then...haven't ever found anything we wanted or needed except some animal manure. And then I found out it was mixed with bermuda hay...I don't NEED any more bermuda grass, can't kill what I have now!

Wavy, you make us all laugh and are a joy to have around! You don't NEED to offer us anything else! But if you ever decide to give anything away..let me know!
