I know we will all be wishing for some of this rainfall come July or August but is Mother Nature confused? It's May, not April, so cut off the April showers!Bring May flowers..I wonder what all this rain will do to all the newly planted plants. I didn't get all my mulch put down. While I'm bellyaching, I am thankful we didn't go through what some of the other states have gone through with the tragic losses of property and lives from the tornados.

I agree. I think my annuals are going to rot from all the water. On top of that we are now having 35 mile an hour winds (March?).....took my wind chimes down, my potted plants are on the front porch & in the gazebo, took the flag down....I am just looking out the window at my tree limbs almost touching the ground & the rain is pounding. Eek

We had a wee tornado 2 weeks ago...this is the barn (in my neighbor's yard) that my step daughter's 2 horses were in. Believe it or not they were ok except for some minor cuts. On the right is the horse trailer they just bot...oops.

LOL! I think you are right! We were very lucky. Only some fence damage from limbs. It went around our house like it was neutral territory! Everyone around us had major damage.

PattyLouise..your farmhouse and gardens are spectacular! It could be a B&B, or is it? You have quite a collection of antique jugs, looks like you're an auction buff? You should send these photos to a magazine like Country Woman, BH&G, Garden Gate, they are very worthy! Thanks for the slideshow..it sure is a showplace. I know how hard you have worked to get it like that. Do you use your gazebo much? I noticed you have lights inside? Is that a working farm, it appeared to be a farm in the background of the pictures or stables. Your taste in antiques is great..used to go to auctions for years and recognize a lot of the same antiques. My dream was always to have a house like yours and to make it into a B&B, and we had all kinds of glassware and linens, etc. to go into it, then I did housecleaning for Sr. Citizens for about 10 yrs. and decided I was too old to do that for a living, much less run a B&B daily so we sold all our collections at the auctions and then downsized and moved into the Sr. Citizens community where I used to do housecleaning for the residents all those years.

Gosh Pippi your compliments have certainly brightened my day! Smile

No it's not a B&B. Most of our antiques came from auctions & yard sales. And yes we use the gazebo a lot - coffee every morning & sometimes adult beverages in the afternoon! It's not a working farm. Just our pets - goats, chickens & we just got a peacock & a peahen!

We have been here 20 years or so & I think we have finally finished all of the major renovations! It was a lot of work but we enjoyed it all!

    Thank you again!
