Can anyone tell me which one blooms longer and looks better throughout the growing season:

Campanula (Bellflower) 'White Clips'
OR
Dianthus 'Bath's Pink'

I wanted to get a variety of dianthus called 'Greystone' but I can't seem to find it anywhere and I like the 'Bath's pink' as well.

I have the Dianthus "firewitch", it is a deep bright pink. It is blooming now. I find that after the first bloom, if I deadhead, it re-blooms.

I think the campanula probably blooms longer. When I've had dianthus, it bloomed, I deadheaded, then waited for it to get new buds and bloom again....
white clips pretty much blooms nonstop all summer.
No scent for the campanula, though...

I've tried 'White Clips' 3 times. It never made it past a second winter. It did bloom pretty good. Two yrs ago I tried c. carpatica x 'Pearl White' and I like it much better. About the same in growth habit, but it blooms longer and it's made it thru 3 winters...and this past one was really bad. As long as it's deadheaded pretty regular, it'll bloom thru the summer. I haven't had any disease or bug problems either.

Thanks Kat. I went ahead and bought some since I was finally able to find the 'White Clips'. I'll see how it does this year and hope it comes back next. If not, maybe I'll try the dianthus next.
