I'm posting a "before" picture and this is as far as we've gone so far. The plan is to make a dry stream bed to appear coming out from the corner of the back yard and ending in our filled-in fish pond. The pond isn't shown as I took the picture from upstairs window & it couldn't be seen from that angle. I titled this post "risky photo" because heaven knows HOW it will turn out!!~

I am sure it will turn out beautiful just like the rest of your gardens and projects.

(I expected to see something really, really risky - snort!)

You gals! LOL! Why we decided to add the dry creek bed to our landscape is we filled in our fishpond with dirt because coons had eated our Koi while we were in Kansas and because we are gone a lot, we were a bit concerned about the pump stopping and last but not least, it had developed a leak and required drainage & new pond liner, etc, etc.

(Continued from above) So, as we loved the bridge over the pond connecting our two decks, we decided to make it look like water was under the bridge by using rocks. Then this led to the thought "well, we need to create a pretend dry creek bed coming through the yard to the pretend pond. We do things ourselves and am hoping it all turns out as we visioned!!~

I though she meant "risque" too! LOL! I thought it was going to be insects or squirrels/birds doing their thing. Razz

Nice yard, I like the dry creek bed idea...we have two of them, not for decoration but because we really need them for water runoff. I like the way they look year round though.
