muddyshoesLo & Behold> Magnolia
Do any of you recall...last Fall I collected Star Magnolia seeds (discussion here regarding how it is done to start one) Well, I know they are VERY slow growers but since I had the seeds I tried! Here it is August & I see them coming where I left my marker & tag! I was talking to myself when I spotted them! OMG Now what to do with them before the cold sets in? They would never survive an Ohio winter? Still so pleased that I could do this.

SSTR (Stop & Smell the Roses)Cool! Are you passing out cigars? Can't help you on your question but I'm sure folks in our colder winter climates will have thoughts for you.

ga.karenMuddy, first...congrats! Way to go!
Now, wonder if they would survive if you made some kind of wire container around them & filled it full of leaves this fall? Or covered them with a big pot & covered it with something to keep the ground around it from freezing??
