What an interesting mystery Muddy! Wonder if it could have been a really small animal, like a mouse or something, hoping from spot to spot through the snow? It also looks like it went in a straight line one way then took a more zigzag path on the way back or perhaps vice versa.

BTW, miss you and your pix over at the other place. Hope to see you back over there soon.

Wow, how interesting!!! Some detective work is required. What critters have you actually seen (or know are around somewhere) in your backyard and/or neighborhood? Then you should eliminate the ones that didn't do it. Google "animal tracks in the snow", see if they have pics of animal tracks in snow! Waaaay cool mystery!
