there is no news on Tyler tonight. Vera Ellen says the multi-county search & rescue will be called off tonight at dark. there have been two days of extensive air and ground searches that have turned up nothing so far. she credits their faith to help them get thru this and thanks everyone for the prayer chains that are going across the country.

Since I'm not a member of any of the PM groups, I appreciate bana giving us as much info as possible here.

Here's the latest I have... it's from her Facebook page....(20 hours ago)

Update on status of Tyler: ok kids, multi-county search & rescue will be called off tonight at dark. The US Marshalls and other law enforcement will continue with their agenda. I talked to the sheriff, this afternoon. He told me that there are 3 scenarios. 1. Tyler has gotten into some kind of trouble and running scared. 2. Something has happened that scared Tyler, either a threat of some
kind, or whatever and he's running. 3. Tyler is in no position to contact anyone for whatever dire reason. This info was shared with the entire family.

I told the sheriff that I could not believe that Tyler was running from anyone...and he told me that we never know what kids are into, no matter how good they are...and he knows that Tyler is a good kid. He also told me that he sincerely hopes that Tyler is running scared for some reason, because no one likes the alternative. They came to this conclusion after 2 days of extensive air and ground searches when neither the truck or any evidence has turned up. They have chased leads as far away as Summerville, Tn (toward Memphis) with reports of sightings of his truck and a physical description. The ground teams have looked under bridges, old barns, sheds, anything that would conceal a vehicle. Air patrol has scoured several counties looking where ground cannot look. Nothing and so far none of the leads have panned out.

We all know that bad things happen to good people....or good people get into situations where they cannot help themselves or make decisions that are bad. Law enforcement is going by what they know best...........we know Tyler best, so we are very scared of option 3.

Thank all of you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for a positive outcome. Pray for my son, my DIL and Tyler's brother...pray for my oldest son who has worked so hard coordinating the search and rescue, pray for the 100's, yes 100's, of community volunteers who have searched on horseback, foot, vehicle and 4 wheelers. We are holding onto each other and our faith to get us through this. I simply cannot thank all of you enough for the prayer chains that are going across this country.

Love & tearful blessings to you all!

Thank you SSTR - we are still counting our blessings that Tyler was found. He still has a long road to recovery...now has an infection in one of the leg breaks, around the pin they put in it and might end up hospitalized for IV antibotics...his leg was broken in two places. He is beginning to tell us more and more about what he went through....and I still cry everytime he starts talking about it. He talks about being cold and wet from the frost and then the rain and unable to move for the longest time...how he thought he was going to just lay there and die. It's an amazing story of faith and determination. THis story has impacted so many people across the country and around the world. He is still getting cards that have been forwarded by the news media...yet Tyler remains centered and himself.
Thanks again.

The Admin are holding up my post because of trigger words so my post might appear later.

daciab, thank you for the link. VE, thank you for keeping us updated. I have had Tyler and your family in my pr*ay*ers since Toots first posted about it. I pestered the highest power to help Tyler. I asked for His mercy that He wouldn't let your family go through what my aunt did with one of her two sons. He was injured and alone out in the cold outside. He didn't make it. The animals got to him before they found him. My aunt had to identify him and to this day she can't mention him because it's too painful. I tear up every time I think about what she and your family have been have been through. I will continue to ask Him to look after Tyler until this ordeal is completely over and Tyler is fully healed.

ve, I hope Tyler's leg clears up, but if he is infected the IV antibiotics are a good thing.

Don't know if you remember, my own grandson was in a motorcycle accident & his knees got infected afterward & he had to be on IVs for quite a while...but...the infection was cleared up nicely & he's doing good in that aspect.

Continued prayers for Tyler. Smile

Thanks Mgt. I'm glad that your grandson is doing well. Tyler got a semi-good report from the surgeon today. He is on a stronger oral antibotic for another week (750mg once a day)...but will go on IVs if this doesn't do the trick. The real good news is, they x-rayed the shoulder and it is healing nicely...he should regain full use in time. Thank goodness, I have been so worried about that limp, floppy arm!
