i subscribed to it when it first came out and still get an issue, think every other month.. it is chock full of pictures and takes me maybe an hour to peruse cover to cover. then i'm done with it.

it is entertaining but i won't renew since i am long past the decorating.. and even re-decorating stage of my life. maybe if i save that first issue, do 'ya think my granddaughter can use it to put her granddaughter thru college?

Same here Bana........I am giving my bathroom a face lift, but that doesn't warrent the magazine. I have friends with good eyes for decorating who are free. I enjoy some of the decorating shows on HGTV, but not enough to shell out bucks for the magazine. I do think the G should be taken out of their title. There is no (homestyle) gardening on HGTV.

right you are, VE.

say... anyone want my magazines? i'll pass them along to those of you that do. PM me your address and i'll send one your way. you can put your name in once you've read it and pass it on to another board member.

i just looked and can find only 4 issues. should have at least 6. i know i didn't throw any away.

have to keep that first issue though for DGG's DGG. Big Grin just kidding. first four to speak up gets one.

Thanks Bana you're really sweet, but you don't have to bother. I didn't even KNOW there was a magazine and you want to give them away~~ LOL!!!! Did you see it on the newstand (sp~ 2 s's or one?) or something? How long has it been out? Sorry to hear that it isn't that good. I would want it for the tips on gardening, but alas, there isn't much on gardening. I guess it follows the TV Shows in that regard.... Not interested in decorating at all. I have my own taste and really don't care what's "IN" or "OUT".... Wink

i didn't mean to imply it wasn't a good magazine. it is chock full of ideas and would be worth while to me if i was a beginning homemaker. but i'm not. its definitely worth the money for its content. and why not share for others to enjoy since i am done with them?

i don't recall how i learned about them... probably ordered it online from hearing HGTV advertising them on their channel.

there is a regular feature called "copy the curb appeal" that gives house colors, yard choices, etc and is the closest the magazine comes to covering gardening. it is mostly about decorating.

and i'm with you, wavy. i have my own style and wouldn't want anyone... ANY one... coming in my home or garden... especially my home... to change a thing. picture me with index fingers making an X when david bromstead says he wants to come do a makeover for me. a really big X. darling guy but i could not live with orange and blue, thank you very much. he can come hang out if he wants.. but leave the paint brushes behind!!!
