This little gem, geranium maculatum is a must in my garden. I have it planted in shade and it competes with vinca minor and sweet woodruff. Also planted in sun and it competes with maples.

Jan, those are two sweet plants!! I really like those little geraniums. I think I like the native one better.

It's so nice to use native plants, the ones that I found here on the property when we moved here are totally no-maintenance. I should have propagated them more instead of bringing in all the ones I have to constantly water and feed. But I guess we are all guilty of that.

Those geraniums are so pretty.

I found one of those along the railroad track out back & I transplanted it to my garden, as the RR sprays vegetation killer & I didn't want to see it killed. It's doing well in my garden for the 3rd year now. I'm so glad I saved it. Wink
