My fleece flower isgoing crazy! It is usually just coming out of the ground this time of year & now it looks like it does end of July! Surely it will bloom early!

Good bargain, Muddy. The peony is such a pretty pink...don't know the name of it, tho. Sorry.

All your pics are great.

so your two-fer included a beautiful peony. would love them in my garden but growing them scares me from trying. don't know why.. seems like they might need too much TLC. and my plants seem to be survivors that anyone can grow.

precious deer picture. you were ready for that one. bet he/she bolted not long after you snapped the shutter. you, with other talented people on this board, get the best pictures.

Muddy, great pics as usual. I'm surprised that the deer don't come in and munch on your hostas. The deer in my area got so used to us last year that even the dog barking at them did little to disturb their dinner in my beds! They knew that we held on to the dog's leash since I didn't want her chasing them. Your squirrels are really delightful, ok I remember the squirrels in the house but they really are adorable and very photogenic!

Those deer better never find my hosta...

Paws~~How do you keep them out? Some of my friends complain of herds of them passing thru their yards!

Muddy, check out this link - scroll down to seashell - see if that's not your peony.
There is a long list of pink peonies with pictures.

Never heard of a fleece flower - post pics when it blooms. Your hostas are beautiful!

Deer love hostas. Things that keep deer away: Male u r ine
Coffee grounds
"Deer Away" Spray on the hostas. It's really stinky & the deer hate it.

I think that peony might be that Sea Shell!!! Wow it seems to be a quality plant after all. Just love the center & pale pink. Yep, Thumbie I'm such a sucker for pink.

Muddy, we spray stuff on the hostas and daylilies. Liquid fence right now, but you have to change the sprays or else the deer get used to it. Also Liquid Fence stinks and the dog keeps sniffing DH's shoes. Got some new stuff at Hosta Haven that is made right in Akron called Goodbye Deer and Restraining Order which also have to be rotated, but they don't smell so bad to humans. We have 6-7 deer in the neighborhood on a regular basis. We were definitely on their dinner route last year. Hope that I've interrupted that now. They are creatures of habit and visit daily once they know that you have a tasty garden.

If I had to spray I doubt that i would have a garden myself! That is so expensive & I'd be afraid I'd forget & lose everything!
