Bana, I'm ashamed to say I don't even remember what your avatar looked like. Now there's a beautiful sunflower by your name. Big Grin

ve

oops - blondie here misread.........you want to change the sunflower. Well duh......sorry about the misread.

When you figure it out, I might upload something personal as well. That's a neat idea.

It's too wet to plow, with more rain predicted...and I'm bored.

well... duh. now it is changed. it didn't show as changed in my profile. but here it is now. go figure.

ve.. previous avatar was 3 sunflowers, facing to the left.

to put your own picture in, here are the steps i followed:

1. go to Profile
2. click 'View/Edit Complete Profile'
3. scroll down to Avatar/Picture URL
3. click 'edit' @ lower right corner of picture
4. in Avatar Selection, click 'Custom Avatar'
5. change 'Provide Custom Avatar' to 'Upload Custom Avatar'
6. click 'Choose File'
7. your desktop will come up. highlight the picture you want to upload and click 'Choose'
8. then click 'Update Avatar' bar in the Avatar Selection window. Done. your new picture should come up.

hope this helps and hope it works for you.

PS edited to add.. first thing is you should have a copy of the picture you want to upload on your desktop. forgot to mention that.

me again with general question. why is it the avatar is small on these pages but huge in the PM's? i exported it from my photo file as 'small'.

i've notice the same big size in other people's pm's who use an uploaded personal photo as an avatar.

It's been like that since the last time the techs 'fixed' the message board! LOL Other problems still continue as well. Not sure why they can't get it right.

Yes, some avatars are HUGE on some boards and the smileys don't work on all forums even on the same board! All since that last "update". Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
