Hello three weeks ago i add some more mulch to my yard and notice last week started to get this strange stuff popping up.

What could this be I used Earthgro mulch I go from Home depot. All the mulch is the same brand.

Yep~~ happens when mulch is put down to thick!

I agree, a fungus. Stir up your mulch to help dry it out, that'll help get rid of the stuff.

Mushrooms? Moulds? Does what you have look kind of like a dog vomited on the material?
Woody mulches tend to get these more so then do shredded leaf mulches.


The sign of a good gardener is not a green thumb, it is brown knees.
