It won't be long till the cukes and squash will take over so I need to get active now. Can you help with ideas/pictures would be even better/for controlling these plants?
I also have 3 tomato plants in a garden of about 22....for whatever reason they look horrible while the others--so far--look fine. Any ideas? They are lighter green, leaves are curling...I am sure I am going to lose them...so sad....hate to but not sure what they need. Any suggestions? No bugs visiable, get the same treatment as all the other plants..!! Help!
You can always give the squash & cukes something to grow UP! It makes picking cukes a whole lot easier.
Several folks are having trouble with tomatoes this year. Some have had early blight & have pulled their affected plants if they couldn't cut it off.
Give them another week & see how they are doing. It might just be a weather thing for that particular variety.

laduce - I agree with gaKaren - trellis your cukes...they always do better and as she said, much easier to pick. As to the squash, I just let mine sprawl...that's kinda the nature of the plant.
Also agree about the tomatoes. Some of mine did well this year, others just ho hum, then started drying up, so I tossed them. My tomatoes are always caged with hog wire...big tall cages. Those little metal store bought things just don't support them when they get big and heavy.
This has not been the best ever gardening year for anyone.
