Post a garden picture taken from inside>>> "Those that throw mud, lose ground!" :>)
Not as pretty as yours, but it's the best I can do. The drought has decimated the lawn. I'm lucky to still have as many live plants as I do.
I think both pictures are pretty. Both of your gardens look better than mine, although I must admit, since we've started in a wet pattern, things are looking much, much better. I even have daylilies blooming again, and they are NOT rebloomers. ve
Oh Nice!!! Hope more girls jump in here! "Those that throw mud, lose ground!" :>)
Nice. | ||||
Great pics gals. But all my windows have screens. VE, me too on the day lilies, 2 different kinds. "The soil is the source of life, creativity, culture and real independence." David Ben-Gurion

Mine have screens, too, but here's a shot from our FR window. ![]()
How pretty, Shook! Lots of textural interest in that view. Love it! Come to think of it, I've been looking at my yard through the window most of this summer. With almost daily temps over 100º for weeks and weeks, as high as 109º some days, I haven't been spending much time out in it. My sweet DH has been tackling the job of keeping the 'important' stuff watered.
Muddy, I could just imagine sitting on your swing with a nice cold glass of iced tea. Such a lovely surrounding! Nettie, what type of hydrangea is that? It is so pretty! I love your crape myrtles, too!
The hydrangea is "Limelight". The crapes are "Tonto". They need help IMO ... Looking too thick for my taste. From what I know now, our climate is tricky for crapes. (Wish I knew that before I planted them!) The MO Bot'l Garden site says they can be pruned to 8" above ground in spring, which would certainly take care of that 'thickness' I dislike. But that's a very scary proposition, cutting them that short. Yikes. What to do, what to do? LOL
Love to see this! Wish more would join in! Thanx for playing. I just took my screens out for the picture. I might have another shot if I can find it. Nice to share what we are all up to! "Those that throw mud, lose ground!" :>)
Shook, your through the screen picture is very pretty too........nice sitting area and the plants look healthy. Muddy, I'll go try and get you a shot through a window.......not promising how it will turn out. BRB ve
Ok, I'm back.......shot through the window was a mess.....too many tree leaves and too much sun on the lower gardens. SO, how about a shot through the front door? ve
Ahhh sweet walkway! "Those that throw mud, lose ground!" :>)
Just lovely, VE! Would love to talk a stroll down that pretty pathway.
Nettie, your crapes look perfect to me. VE, I LOVE your walkway! So classy looking!

Oh, Vera. You make me just swoon with that yard!!!!! www.floridafarmgirlsworld.blogspot.com Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.
VE, that is one classy "sidewalk" for out in the country! "The soil is the source of life, creativity, culture and real independence." David Ben-Gurion
great pictures everyone... as usual. VE, i could sit on your porch and look at that green FOREVER. if i can't be lucky enough to live there, i'm glad you are.
VE how picture perfect! It looks just like a magazine, that is one of the prettiest walkways that I've seen. So inviting!
Gosh Girls, thank you. To me it's just home ve

Fun thread Muddy! Ladies, The pics are great and show all the love you put in your gardens. I'll play too! View from the inside the Girl Cave to front garden bed. ~Like sands through the hourglass ~So are the days of our lives ![]()
Another view out the window. Some pink ginger and blue porter weed returning from last year with red periwinkles mixed in too. ![]()
The view from our screened patio into the back yard. ![]()
What a fun post Muddyshoes! Am enjoying see everyone's views from the inside out! Pretty, pretty every one! This is my view from living room window. ![]()
This is from upstairs looking out the back window. Now I just have to "patiently" wait until my small plants grow! ![]()
Rose and SSTR - lovely views out your windows........isn't it wonderful to be happy with your "view". SSTR - the makeover is gorgeous.....and your plants will grow and fill out those spaces in no time. Pretty Pretty. ve
Thanks Vera - I'm kinda thinking since the plants that we put in the new mulched areas were all 50 - 70% off sale from the garden center, we should have bought the next step bigger size of plants. Patience is good to have, but at my age, well.......think it would have been better to have got plants bigger. oh well.
If ya'll were down here having a cup of coffee with me, we'd be sitting at my kitchen table looking out the window & we could watch the crawling fig on the fence engulf the entire fence, house & neighbor's house if it got its way! ![]()
Love Looking Out Your Windows~! SSTR > Your plant will grow & half the fun is watching that happen! It will look fantastic! Hope we get more posts! "Those that throw mud, lose ground!" :>)

Yep, DH's daughter got married last November at the house. DH built the Gazebo the walkway and the stairs for the wedding. I did the landscaping. We had the reception in the greatroom. http://s15.photobucket.com/alb...20home%20Nov%202011/ Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can't..... You're Right - Henry Ford

Nice pictures, love the walkways. Vera Ellen, it made me think a little about reverse view. I am always thinking of the view towards the door.
Is it too late to play? Had to reregister for some strange reason. This is taken from back porch as pic didn't come out right from back door.
