    My DS has picked me Poplar Blooms for years! I would pray and cringe every time he would climb the trees.... Eek refussing to watch.... Roll Eyes
    This year he had something to help him ..... and me.......LOL!

    That's wonderful. He must have remembered that Mother's Day is next week.

    Two of my little ones thought it would be special to pick some flowers for me. The only problem was that they picked (& pulled out) almost all of the annuals that I had just planted the day before.

    This may be a stupid question to ask but what the heck, I'm asking anyhow! I have never seen popular blooms before and neither has my DH, is it a special type of popular tree, and what will you use the popular blooms for? My guess is that you would take the seeds from the blooms to plant that specific species?

    He is so brave. There isn't much I would ever go that high for, especially not since I passed about age 20. When I was a kid though, I would be the first one up a tree. Those days are long gone...

    My tulip poplar does not bloom like that. It only gets a half dozen or so flowers, gut my MIL has one that gets covered with them.


    Each day is a new opportunity to grow!

    Pippi...hmmmm the poplar trees here in N.Alabama have always bloomed????? We have ahhhhhh I would say at least 100 close by. Some are VERY large!! It may be a different poplar you have there or maybe they have to be older??? Not usre.....I have never thoght about saving any seeds. Like I said we have several here.
    Doit......yes he is OR has a few loose screws... Wink nahhhhh like I said he has done this for me for several yrs. now....he is a very sweet son.. Big Grin I'm soooooooo glad he has the bucket truck now..... Eek
    I do think the blooms are very pretty!
    owie.....they do here...what is your zone?
