I planted the 'Girard's Rainbow' almost 2 years ago as a foundation shrub and I really love them. They help to soften up the evergreen hollies. They are on the north side and there are gumpo azales in front. I want to remove the azales (they're old and VERY scraggly). The area gets partial sun but I can't seem to find the right plant. It's my front sidewalk.

We planted male and female Skimmia in a mostly shady area about three years ago and they are thriving. The berries have been vibrant throughout the winter months.
