favorite spot in your garden or flower combinations in pots or in the ground. Pictures please! My 1900s farmhouse: http://share.shutterfly.com/ac...sid=0Abtm7Zw4cMmLKvg My gardens: http://share.shutterfly.com/ac...sid=0Abtm7Zw4cMmLLBA

We are in a temporary housing situation this year so I don't have this combo currently. But my Salvia guaranitica is still surviving in a pot and if I can keep it going long enough, I plan to recreate this combo with Lady in Red Salvia (Salvia coccinea) instead of the Cherry Queen Salvia (Salvia greggii) in this shot, once we get settled into a new area. These 2 are hummer magnets, which is a plus. I need to find a white to add to the combo when I recreate it too. This message has been edited. great shot of the salvia g, with the red salvia. I have a very hard time trying to get closeups of salvia g. You did great...and the combo is very pretty. ve

Wow that salvia is gorgeous! I planted some Black & Blue last year - does it reseed? My 1900s farmhouse: http://share.shutterfly.com/ac...sid=0Abtm7Zw4cMmLKvg My gardens: http://share.shutterfly.com/ac...sid=0Abtm7Zw4cMmLLBA

My favorite spot is on the front deck overlooking the garden. Lovely place to sit at the end of the workday. ![]() I love many color combos but these pink snapdragons and the Limelight Artemesia were an unplanned combo which I liked very much. I don't think I have the Limelight anymore as it was quite invasive altho it wouldn't surprise me if it popped up again. ![]() I also like this chartreuse feverfew and purple chives... ![]() Another combination I like is silver and blue like the Lamb's Ears and Walker's Low Catmint here... I also use Dusty Miller a lot for the silvery contrast it provides. ![]() Hope to see more pics from others. Lucky thank you for the beautiful inspiration pictures! Love your view & the glass of wine looks yummy! I have never grown artemesia but it is lovely. I always wondered how anyone could not like invasive plants until I planted evening primrose. What a disaster! Feverfew & chives - wonderful combination. Think I will plant some lambs ears with my catmint. Love the colors. Thanks Ladies! VE, you are right that it's hard to get good shots of the salvia g.s. I've taken lots to get just a few decent ones. Plus they usually show up that gorgeous but not quite accurate sapphire blue in pix but are more navy in real life (but still beautiful.) PL, I'm not sure if Black and Blue reseeds or runs or neither. I don't think this variety reseeds but it does run (coming up a little ways away from the roots.) B&B is a beauty too. Wow Lucky, I love your view and your combos. This message has been edited. Joy, what awesome combinations. I'd love to sit on that deck and look at your amazing garden. Regarding the artemesia - in my experience, you will probably have a hard time getting rid of it. I do realize that in the south things are more invasive than up north so you might not have a problem. Here, the salvia g comes back up from the roots every spring. I have divided and spread all around the yarden, given away, tossed, you name it. Love it because the hummers do too. The clumps just keep getting bigger and bigger each year and after awhile it too will take over, so IMHO it's worth the extra work. Thank you for sharing your beautiful combinations. ve

SSTR, he's walking up the stairs to the Gazebo to come see what his momma is doing. We built it in 2011 for DH's daughter's wedding. Now it's nice to sit out back in the afternoon with a nice cup of coffee and watch the wildlife. (Mostly my dogs chasing squirrels) hehe (edited)...better photo...This message has been edited. Thanks ladies! If you do come down for a visit make sure it's in the winter. Summers are too hot and muggy and I stay inside most of the time. hehe The words on the gazebo are thick laser cut steel. I just primed and painted them and we glued and nailed them on. Wavy, yes thank you, that's me from earlier last year. We live about 23 miles from the coast in a hilly area near a state forest. We have lots of oaks, pines, hickory, sweetgum, dogwood, magnolia and cedar, with saw palmetto and sabal palms mixed in. The palms trees are closer to the coast or further south as we still get down to the 20's and teens here and the palm trees can't take that. I lost my large lemon and lime trees to low temps so I guess I'm too far north for the palms. Whether You Think You Can Or You Think You Can't..... You're Right - Henry Ford

JM those are some wonderful flower combos. Just beautiful! Pattie, do you mean your white pergola with the green swing? That would be a perfect place for some words. We also put a saying on the front entrance to the side pergola several years ago.....if you seal them well you don't have to worry about them rusting. Patty, that is some tree, the privet. Beautiful trunk structure. What does the top of the tree look like? AND your knockouts are so compact. Mine are not compact at all. I'm going to go out and wack mine down some branches.
