Does anyone grow these? We planted and the vines are lovely, but our other squash (pumpkins, wee be little and something with a French name) have squash already but I've yet to find a squash budding on my Georgia plant. Do these take longer? Seeds planted mid to late May and healthy lovely vines with male flowers.

Sorry, I have never heard of them before. I googled it and it is an interesting squash.

I might have one out there. Pumpkins are obvious as each baby is round. I found something resembling a fruit at the base of a flower this morning. I'll post a pic if it takes off.

OK - DH and I went out there last night and went over the plant with a fine tooth comb. Found three baby squash - likely a few days out before the blossoms open, but plenty of male flowers are on the vines. Ain't she cute??

I came back to post a new pic of one of the GA Candy Roasters that is growing on my vines. I have two (that I know of) that are growing quite well right now. Several little budding ones, and a few bit the dust before the flowers opened - fairly average squash behaviour Wink I think the pic above is of one that was lost.

So here's the best pic I could get for those who are pumpkin curious!

Three days since the last pic and this thing has more than tripled in size!!!

The other one is progressing at the same rate. Haven't had any new ones open (yet) though there are some on the vines.
