Two years back I planted one of those "shaker" gardens for instant results (just built house), and every year these come back. They stay green until November, then brown, then new growth by spring. They just bloomed last week, and I think they're are so pretty. I love the color constrast next to my lobelia. Are they really a weed? or do some of those "shaker" kits have perrenials?
Tell me what you think?

I look at this way. If you enjoy the looks & smell of the plant in question, who cares? you're the one who has to "live with it" so to speak, so if you're happy with it, who care? *G*

They are wild flowers and they are beautiful. I love them. Remember a weed is jus a misplaced flower.--it is all in how you look at it. I love the old fashioned violets that people work hard to get out of their yard. I used to trasnplant them in my other garden. I think they are gorgeous.
