My brother-in-law has really gotten into the rain barrel conservation process. He bought 3 of these blue barrels; 2 for his family and one for me that he is going to convert into rain barrels. Since I dabble in painting he asked if I'd paint something on theirs. This is my first attempt. It's kind of hard to visualize laying down but I couldn't get a good pic of it standing up.
I have some close ups of the individual bird houses but this is the overall design.

Very talented. Love that picture scape. My rain barrels are white and hidden behind a rhodie. And the house is white don't think anyone much notices them.

Thanks for the nice comments. The next one will be mine. I'm thinking about a smaller design area. LOL Maybe some stacked clay pots, a trowel- I have a pattern for a bunny. I can't draw so everything comes from a pattern.

Great pic. Just one thing...I hope you used paint that will stick to plastic. We first had blue barrels (given to us by someone on the boards) and we painted them almond to match our siding...it peels off. So we got some white ones for the front & the blues have gone to the back...not the first thing you see now!

DH talked about burying one? ~~tho I think you might be on to something Sooner! That surely would have appeal to some people...you could paint up a few & set up a table at a fair & offer to custom paint?
