Looks like it was hit by bleach....Could it be a mutant color seed strain...?? Weird.

I might be water damage. I've had that happen to some of mine now & then. Water and sun maybe, but the new buds should bloom just fine.

Some of my blooms looked the same today after a heavy rain yesterday....I'm with mgt - rain damage and the rest will be fine.

I don't usually have red petunias but did this year and the same thing happened to mine after a rain. They sit on the NE corner of my front porch and only get morning sun...but we are much hotter than you.
