I just finished reading all the posts regarding our grandson Tyler. Thank you Toots and Bana for posting this, and thank you everyone for your thoughts and pr ay ers. This has been such an incredible journey with such an outpouring of faith and love. We are indeed blessed, our grandson is safe and at home probably right now. He was getting dismissed this afternoon. He made surgery just fine, came out with a rod, some plates and pins. They have bound his shoulder. Incredibly, no internal injuries. Bones will heal.

We looked at the wreck scene this afternoon. No wonder no one could find him. Between being unconscious and awake, he had tried since coming to on Sunday morning to crawl out. He said he'd hitch his dangling leg up and try to scoot his shoulder up and crawl, then slide back down. We had rain, heavy frost and more rain. Thank G 0 D for the rain because he used a broken head lamp from the truck to catch rainwater to drink. Monday night he said he was hurting so bad and he was so cold that he just pr ay ed to die and G 0 D said, no, you're not done yet...so Tuesday morning he said he looked around and saw a place that was less steep and he felt urged to go that way...he thinks he started at daylight, doesn't really remember, but he said he felt like something was pushing him. He finally crawled up and laid under the guardrail of the interstate. He was hoping that someone would see him and stop, and Praise the L O R D, a trucker stopped, called the state police and told them there was a body on I-65 and gave them the location. A car with two women stopped as well and one was a nurse. They were from Biloxi, Miss. The nurse asked Tyler could she do anything and he asked for something to drink and could she call his momma and daddy. When the call came in and my son Lee saw the ID, he dismissed it thinking it was work related...the call came back and he though ok, ok...and he answered it and Tyler said "Hello Daddy". Our pastor was standing beside Lee when he took the call, Lee fell back, almost in a faint and our pastor caught him.

We went to the wreck scene this afternoon. I cannot believe my child or anyone could have survived this. He was airborne, took out a reflective sign indicating a coming curve, but who misses a sign in a series @ 65 miles per hour...since there were no skid marks there was nothing to indicate a wreck of any kind. I took pictures and did not use the zoom lens to try and show the depth and steepness of this ravine. Tylers little brother, all 6ft 2" of him, went down into the ravine.
He is wearing a red shirt if you can see him.
Again, thank all of you. Now maybe we can get back into our little life routine, but we will never forget the incredible blessing we have received.

He was very lucky not to have had more injuries. His bones will definitely heal, and I hope he has a fast recovery! (mine did I had a fracture last Dec)

Thanks everyone - and yes, we will trulyhave a thankful thanksgiving.

here is a link to the video clip that was on the Today show this morning...if anyone cares to watch it. Tyler's experience has gone viral...we know for a fact that it's reached England and Ireland. Now that he's home and safe, hopefully, our little countryside will settle back into it's peaceful routine....however, Tylers story is an amazing one of determination and faith.

thanks again everyone...much love and hugs.

I truly believe Tyler did have someone who helped him up that hill. We had a very good friend who was in an underground explosion and told everyone how someone helped him up the ladder to safety. There was people who were all around who all said he walked up on his own accord.

Vera, so thankful he is safe and now home to heal.

Vera, I am so glad to hear that Tyler is back safe in the arms of his family!!! Pray$ers sure were answered.

Wish my schedule would allow me to come on up to your house and give you a hug in person. I'm at Birmingham for a mini quilting retreat. Anyway, you and your famiy have been in my thoughts for days. Consider yourself hugged big time, and a hug for Tyler too.
