Doesn't this cardinal look like he's fussing at the dove?

Cute captions. The not so graceful doves sort of dive b*o*m*b* into the feeders and the smaller birds just hold on for their dear lives, swinging back and forth Smile Very comical to watch them. I'm thinking this little cardinal is saying, "you're supposed to be a ground feeder what are you doing up here?"

How cute! My Morning Doves never go on my birdfeeder at all. They just ground feed whatever seeds drop down.... (don't know why)

Oh, gracious, the doves devour the seeds in my feeders. Sometimes there'll be four or five on one of them at the same time. So much for ground feeding. I have whole flocks in the back yard some days.

Great captions folks! Cute pic.
My doves are too well fed to hang on to the feeders, but the juvie ones will get into the flat feeders & throw out half the stuff in it.

Just one of the feeders they attack. The safflower seed. They also attack the other feeders the same way.

FFG, I've never seen so many Mourning Doves! I have a pair, but they haven't been around for awhile. I have all my feeders full, but all I have are a few cardinals.

LOL, cute captions.....your momma wears Army boots Big Grin

FFG - love your doves.......the first picture...is it a light reflection or is that dove kinda pinkish? Maybe it's sunburned from being in that Florida sun too long Smile Never saw one like that before. Pretty.

PS - if I could SPEEL, maybe I wouldn't have to edit so much Red Face

Depending on the light, their feathers can look pinkish, and some do have a pink cast. They really are beautiful birds when you can look at them up close. Lots of irridescent feathers on them.
