What's your favorite hosta? Can you post pics? I'm just starting in a new landscape.

Looks like only you and me are night owls.
(I do my best work at night, tho!) Wink

Thanks so much for all those great pics.
I'm saving them to refer to as I will be going on some Hosta tours soon with the Shades of Green Hosta Club here. Maybe I can see some of these in person.
I love them with that Lamium as ground cover. Do you know of any that can take sun? I wanted to plant some under our "young" maple trees we planted last year. We've got a 6 ft circle to fill in with something under them. I hate pluckin' the weeds from the mulch. DH complains about have to replenish it every year. I said then we need more plants. Big Grin

yep.. more plants!!... LOL!!... we're so good..............!!!

you'll learn more from your hosta club about those that can take more sun in your area... I"d imagine you'll find a few in your Northern zones.... down here, there's not many that can take much more than a few hours of moring sun..... those few at the pond that get sun in late afternoon are always fried by the end of summer.... they try, but it's just too hot.....

I be wary of planting around 'new' trees yet.... new roots are tender to be digging around.... and really get tissy if they have to share food and water.... might be better to put up with the mulch a while yet.....??...

I'm not usually up this 'early'.... but I took a pain pill... makes me sleep so good I'm DONE sleeping in four hours!!!.... LOL!!... crashed about ten or eleven and now I'm UP for the day!!... drat!...

glad you liked the pics...... I'm going to get a few more before the season's done... I'll let you know when those get here.... let me know how your tours go, too, willya????... don't know of any hosta clubs down here... sounds like fun!!
