Who still has them & who has had them leave already?

My numbers have decreased drastically the last 3 days. This is NOT normal. I usually have them until late Oct. and have one or two hang around until even the middle of Nov.!

Still here on the coast as of an hour ago.

We still have 3 or 4....so our numbers have decreased drastically too. Unusual for us as well. In a normal year we have them up until at least mid October and last year we had one female linger long after frost had killed everything.

Another strange thing this year. So far, no migration. If they have started the migration, no one is stopping by here to refuel...and they normally do. This time of the year our numbers usually go up for a few days and I'm filling feeders almost daily, then you get a respite, then repeat the process.

mine are still here..... little piggies will hang here till the cypress vines are done for....

Mine are still here!!! I don't have a cypress vine, but I have 6 hummer feeders that I have to fill at least twice a day. I ran out of sugar last week and had to go get more, but the little things are still here in droves.
According to Bob Sargent, the hummingbird expert from Alabama, Mississippi is on their migration path.
I don't know whether to be flattered or if I should buy stock in SUGAR.

I saw one Tuesday, but I think that he's gone. Must have been one of the last just stopping by for a quick drink!

Still have a couple of females flitting around.

VE, I haven't had any migration yet either...also strange. I also usually have larger numbers for a few days & then those disappear.

I have seen at least one of my winter small birds already. I think it was one of my pine warblers.

I got all my bird baths/waterers cleaned/pressure washed & refilled. Then I cleaned out all the bird feeders and filled them. I don't usually feed much if any during the summers. Those kids need to learn how to find their own food...in case!
And I've got suet blocks in the freezer that I made last year...but I won't put those out until our temps drop below 80º in the day time.

I was just about ready to take my feeders down today and when I looked out the window there was a female getting a drink, so the feeders stay for now.

We still have a couple (SE Nebraska) that visit our Salvia in the mornings and evenings.

Colorado mountains (RMNP) are less in number this fall than other years too. Perhaps a sign of an early and cold winter ahead?

That was what I was afraid to mention...an early, cold winter!

I had 3 today...and I have 6 feeders up & all are at least half full...so of course, they were all fighting over ONE feeder!
