Maybe if this has its own post, it won't get buried in the avalanche of posts.

Would whomever posted the instructions on how to manually enter the smileys please do so again here? I printed the info, and have it right above my moniter. It was SO helpful!!

We gotta have those smileys!!!! Razz Big Grin Wink

I'm the one who posted it. I'll gladly post the picture again. Type exactly what is listed to the left of the smiley and it will post as a smiley.

Don't forget to include the colon(s), or it won't work. If you are trying to find the colon on your keyboard it's immediately above the semi-colon ... next to the letter L. To access it, hold down the Shift key and press the semi-colon.

If you want to post a wink you don't need a colon, you need a semi-colon.

Muddy some of the smileys need a colon before and after the word or the boards computer program won't recognize it as a smiley instead of a word. Computers are very stupid and most operating systems aren't user friendly.

I have sent messages twice now about the tool bar not working. Normally I get some kind of a reply but not this time.
If you scroll all the way to the bottom, in little tiny print is a "contact us"....email them...EVERYONE!
Maybe we can convince them to fix it!

Forgot, it's on the right hand side!

Did you use the email link on the bottom this message board that says "Technical issues"? That's the one that emails the webmaster for the message boards.

HI!!!!!! I had to sign in all over again. For some reason I was listed as "Unregistered". All the other sign-in names I made up over the yrs. to RE-REGISTER were invalid of course. I had to come up with a brand new e-mail addy and I was able to keep a similar-sounding name so you would recognize me!!
I feel so honored that I got my own personal post. I finally 'made it' in HGTV land!!! Now to try and figure out how to do those smilies..... uh ohhhhhh ......

Welcome back, Wavee! We might forget the spelling now and then because we're so used to Wavie, but we think you'll forgive us, won't you???

Darn boards! I have had trouble with that from time to time, and just about panic when I can't figure out how to get back in. I just never log out, and that seems to take care of it.

Glad you found your way back!!
