Much to my dismay, I've seen someone here recommend you throw the live, trapped animal into the bin while it's still attached to the glue. That's all kinds of messed up. Why torture it, just kill it quickly via a snap trap, and if you have to use glue traps, put it out of its misery first before you let a creature starve to death on a sheet of glue in your garbage bin. It's not an inanimate object, are people this removed from life and nature that they don't have the decency to finish off an animal quickly?
I don't have anything against killing rodents like mice or rats, but gosh, don't torture them. Do the job quickly and cleanly - is that too much to ask?
I agree with your philosophy totally. Those traps are inhumane and should not be in production. The snap traps probably sell for less than $1 and at least ki11 the animal without much suffering.
