What are the "lightbulbs" all about next to each of our posts? Or is it just on mine?

I think that was/is the general purpose. However, they don't always work.

And a question: wonder why the emoticons work on this board but not on the quilting board??? Confused

You don't see the light bulb beneath the blue burst? This is what the rest of us see. When it works it changes color so you know what threads you have already read. The boards still has bugs that the Webmaster needs to fix.

It's been in the 100's where I live and my brain if fried. I just held the mouse arrow beneath the light bulb and it showed, "new content", so obviously bana is correct. It changes from yellow to a sorta dull white color when there is new comments you haven't read. I think the
Webmaster wanted to convey a light bulb off and a light bulb on.

I thought the yellow symbol next to the post meant someone added to it. I rather the post being lighter telling me I read that one already.

I'm sorry, I misstated the way the color changes. Red Face You are correct and I meant to write the way you did. This is my disclaimer from my post, "It's been in the 100's where I live and my brain if fried." Just kidding about the disclaimer.

How odd of me...I never noticed those light bulbs before!
The color of the type in the Topic section used to change to let me know what ones I've read already. But now I just see all the thread subjects are the same even though I've looked at several.

I just noticed that amaryllis posted the same thing about the type color changed. so I guess it's not just me.

The reason the light bulbs all changed to yellow again, is because the nitwit advertising his landscape company posted on all kinds of old threads...therefore the yellow bulb notifies us of 'new content'. What a pain that guy is.
