We have well over a hundred irises in different locations in our yard. I have divided some of them over the last few years, some of them I haven't. They have bloomed well every year. Last year we had a late spring freeze and many of the buds froze on them and I didn't have nearly as many blooms as usual. This year I have a grand total of three blooms! Could last spring's freeze have affected them this year. They are in several different locations and none of them are blooming even though the plants look healthy. Any suggestions or ideas?
I think the moving may have caught up with you... those that got moved are still 'getting a root down' and are not ready to bloom yet....
if all their needs are met, lots of sun, planted depth, draining soils, etc, then it's just time.... I"ve moved some in my garden and not seen them again for three years or more.... and some got mulched and never seen again.... with all those iris, your place must be gorgeous when they do bloom!!....
