peony seeds Sign In/Join

I have a pale pink peony that has flowered already. the buds are gone, but they left behind 11 seed pods. should I go ahead & cut them off now, or wait a week or two? they are quite large already, but should I let them dry out on the plant before taking them off? & should I plant the pods as is or pop them open before planting them? does anyone know for sure? I know they have tiny pink seeds right now, because I cut one flower off for a bouquet but it wilted before I could get it in water. so, I went ahead & popped the pod open & discovered the seeds in it. I already have those in some potting soil, but is it too soon to get the rest of them off? the flower petals fell off just a few days ago. what would ya'll do? any suggestions out there?

It tells you when to collect the seeds!

Well, if you are planning to be alive in 3-5 years, you might as well be alive with more peonies, no cost!

Judge not, you don't know their story.
