Sometimes Homer (the dog) and I will do our daily walk down one of the field roads, vs. up and down the driveway. Yesterday I took the camera hoping to catch a pileated woodpecker that often flies into some of the trees along the way. No woodpecker, but I did find a few interesting things.
Also, they have changed Photobucket and I can't figure out how to use it yet.......so this will be all individual pictures.

The bright green of this mossy rock amid all the brown caught my attention

The little stream that meanders through the woodland.

Turned around and headed back. I hope you enjoyed your walk with Homer and me.

SSTR (Stop & Smell the Roses)
Thanks Vera, I enjoyed my walk too - AND in my jammies & robe at that!
Wavy/Patty Louise - loved the idea of a picture of Homer...pretty sure I could get a picture of him........don't think his little short paws could hold the camera to get one of me.......cute idea though. He's a basset/beagle mix, so he's long with stubby legs.
Muddy...I noticed some woodland ferns putting up...not sure about other wild flowers. I'll start taking the camera when we walk that way and see what I can find.
Jan, you've ridden along this road all the way around the farm to the top.....of course, it looked a lot different then. We still had fun didn't we.
Thanks Ladies.........I'm glad you enjoyed the walk.

Florida Farm Girl
Vera, the initial swoon was over the landscape, but maybe if I could see SSTR's jammies, they might be swoon worthy, too!!!
Just does my soul good to see the landscape of your farm.

That's one of my favorite things to do, especially when it's cool. You always see something different every trip.
I really like your stream. You have such a beautiful piece of property.

Are those flowering trees in the picture?

Vera, Joe wanted me to send you the pic of us in back of the pick-up when we went up that road but it's on the laptop and I don't know how to transfer it....and yes, that was definitely FUN!

Owie, no, those are leaves that haven't fallen off yet.
Z9 - thank you.
Jan - tell Joe thank you...but I have a copy of that picture.

I'm going to have to run to catch up, but maybe I can catch Homer since he has short legs! Great scenery and wonderful walk. Isn't it amazing what we can find when we take time to LOOK! Love that grape vine...that would be a good start for a wreath!

What a gorgeous place you and Homer have to walk VE! Reminds me of my DGPs' old home place in NW AL that we would visit when we were growing up. So relaxing yet stimulating at the same time. So many small but beautiful details to see and explore, like the moss on the rocks. Thanks for sharing it with us. Feel free to share more as spring comes on.
