Someone go out and capture some pictures of your dragonflies and start a new post...pretty please.

OK, I went out and found some blue ones this afternoon! hehe

True, it is not a spider...it has 8 legs, but no venom, and a single body...no sections and only 2 eyes.

oooooooh thank you for the pictures of the blue dragonflies. Love them. Don't you think there is something mystical about the blue ones. You are so lucky.

Weird about daddy longlegs being rare for you. We have scads of them......and the Asian Ladybug invasion began here this weekend. Some have even caught rides into the house. They got sucked up by the vacuum this morning. You can see them swarming in the sunlight outside.

Thanks again........good pictures of all your bugs.

Love the blue dragonflies!

Oh how I hate Daddy Long Legs. We had so many several years ago you couldn't walk without stepping on them. I swear, they chase me......

Pretty pics!

Those blue dragonflies look larger than the ones we have, zone9alady altho not sure how large they really are. The ones here are about 2" long. We have mostly the blue ones but an occasional red one. I love dragonflies because they eat those noxious skitters.

LOL Patty Louise! I don't like them much either, found a few in a pile of wood I was moving recently. Yuck.

I don't mind the daddy long legs (harvestman) because I know they won't bite me. I don't mind the cellar spiders too much either, but anything else freaks me out. Big Grin

Don't mind either the dragonflies or the daddy long legs. It's centipedes and some beetles that creep me out.

Great pics! You have pretty dragonflies. I just have "dark" ones...nothing pretty!
Daddy long legs don't bother me either....unless one crawls around my neck & I didn't know it dropped down!
We have them all over the place & especially in some trees.

Either they are mystical or they can't see very well..LOL! The blue ones are the only ones that will actually land on my finger if I hold it out still when I am near them.

I wish I had more Daddy Long Legs. They don't make webs or have silk so they are neater than spiders. I found one in the garage once, it was hard getting him out without him detaching his legs.

Pattie, they chased you? They don't bite, I think they are cute.

We have green and copper colored dragonflies, I don't think I've seen a red one! I found a few ladybugs with no black dots...are they the same insect?

I don't like centepedes either. We have those huge millipedes too, 2-1/2" long and as big around as my little finger.

YES!!!!! i really, really hate when I see a humongous Centipede in my house. It really creeps me out. They are huge with a million long legs and I am always scared to try and get them. I never see Daddy Long Leg spiders except when we go on vacation and I barely saw one lady bug all summer long. Frown I don't even know if I have seen Blue Dragonflies. I rarely see those either. When I was a kid, we called them "Dining Needles" I swear!!!

That's funny Wavy, when we were kids growing up in Louisiana we called dragonflies
"mosquito hawks" and we called Crane Flies, Daddy Long Legs.
