This is growing by my patio & wonder if its a seedling from my locust tree or volunteer from neighbors wisteria??

Also wondering if the deer have finally showed up as here are two leaves off my biggest hosta! Oh No!!!

Finally getting some blooms on the annual dahlias I planted from seed in the early Spring!

Love these almost neon geraniums this year!

Hostas are happy!

...and look who is helping with beetle control?!! I zoomed in on what she had in her beak & delighted to see a beetle! Oh those darling little sparrows!!!

Such lovely pictures, as always, Muddy! The first picture does look a lot like new wisteria growth, tho slightly different from my Autumn Falls Wisteria. So lucky to have help from the birds with your beetles! I didn't think the birds (or any other predator for that matter) liked their hard bodies. Who would!

If it's deer, they must be eating lightly. When they came through here last year, they ate the hostas all the way to the ground. They just left about an inch of some stems. Entire large plants were consumed. Maybe yours are daintier? Hooray for the sparrows!! Now if you could only find a reason to be happy to see grackles--it would be nice to see the 40 or 50 that travel around here eat some beetles or something. Love the flowers, as always such nice pics. Don't know about the first pic, I actually have a weed that looked like that. I actually let it keep growing until I realized that thing was not going to bloom.

Muddy, I always love seeing your pictures...such great color and detail. Darling picture of the sparrow eating the beetle...and I personally think your seedling is a locust.

That hosta bloom picture would make a beautiful note card.

Paws ~ Your making me laugh & haven't felt like laughing! (as you know) Remember that mean looking rabbit I posted ?? Dh says they are larger & hanging out in that area now! Think its rabbits? They must stand up & taste the leaves? The sparrows must be desperate for food to take to the babies in the house. I had to cut back on the smorgasbord of delights I used to put out. So now the babies are getting beetles & bees!!

Hey, I did remember reading once that Wisteria can spring up some 25 feet or more from original plant so I actually have been waiting & hoping my neighbors would prefer my yard & pop up here!

Maybe it is rabbits, they do have smaller mouths! Our rabbits are now eating my DH's bed of white impatiens. I know you are saying, why white and how do you know that they know the difference. The reason is each year my DH plants a bunch of white impatiens in containers and the ground and each year they find only the white ones and eat them. They will actually hop on by the other colors and fill themselves up on the white stuff--maybe it's the cocaine of the rabbit world!

Great pics. The little sparrows are always a favorite. They are such a happy bird as they flit from place to place.

I vote with VE for locust. That was my first thought as soon as I saw the pic before I read the choices....just doesn't look "quite" like my wisteria.
Do you want some wisteria? I should have seeds this year plus there are plenty of runners across the road w/roots.

I would love to try seeds again. I got a few from someone here a long time ago. I thought this
might be one coming to life but I doubt it now. I might never see it grow to maturity but love trying!Can you grow columbine I have some of that I collected?

Yes, I can grow columbine...but Sorie & Wolfie have already sent me LOTS of seeds & I have to plant it in either part or mostly shade...and those spaces are pretty full right now.

The young leaves look like wisteria but the big ones don't look like my wisteria leaves and I have 3 of them.
